Dr. Henslee was born and raised in Oklahoma City. After earning a business degree from Oklahoma State University, she spent 15 years working in business & commercial finance, and began volunteering with animal welfare and rescue groups in Oklahoma City. Her volunteer work reignited her passion for veterinary medicine, and she returned to school in 2009 to achieve a DVM degree. After graduating from Oklahoma State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, she was selected for advanced training in a small animal rotating internship program through VCA Hospitals in Norwalk, Connecticut.
Following her internship, Dr. Henslee returned to Oklahoma where she worked in general practice and emergency medicine for 3 years before joining the OVS emergency team.
Dr. Henslee shares her home with husband Marshall, and 3 opinionated cats. When she’s not tending to her patients and clients, she enjoys gardening, sewing, DIY house projects, and motorcycle adventures with her husband.
