Dj Stanton was born and raised in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She attended Northeastern State University earning a bachelor’s degree in Biology as well as a master’s degree in Natural Sciences. While completing these two university degrees she worked full time as a veterinary assistant at a general practice in Owasso, Oklahoma. After this she took some time outside of veterinary medicine and went to live in Arkansas where she worked as an Exotic Animal Intern for a local AZA, GFAS and IFAW accredited wildlife refuge. Dr. Stanton then furthered her education at the University of Guelph’s Ontario Veterinary College, graduating in 2022. While completing a placement with Oklahoma Veterinary Specialists in her last year of school she knew that OVS was the perfect place to begin her career.
Dj and her husband Cj don’t currently have any human children but do have a total of four furry kids, two dogs Puk and Jewel and two cats Token and Timbit.
When Dr. Stanton is not caring for your furry friends, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, trying new restaurants, or curling up at home with a good book.
